It is. I wasn't even thinking B heads/intakes.

'97-'98 MarkVIII motors have COPs. But 4v COPs and 2v COPs are not the same, so you can't just reuse your 2v COPs in the 4v motor. Your 2v computer will run the 4v motor, just have to extend some of the wiring, no big whoop.
Early 4v cars have return-style fuel system & fuel rails. So you will need to go with aftermarket fuel rails or modify the mounting tabs on a returnless stock fuel rail to mount it to the return-style intake manifold, whether it is Mark or Cobra.

Best bet is to throw the B heads in the trash and swap C heads onto the Teksid block, get a '99-'01 Cobra or Mach intake with fuel rails and you'll be in business.

Your cooling system will change since 4v uses a remote thermostat housing with bypass, if you run the stock 4v piece with hoses you can make it work with your stock coolant reservoir and radiator.

There might be a couple of small things I'm forgetting but those are the big things. Also if you want to swap cams make sure you degree them properly. I'm not going to get into a huge discussion about cam degreeing on here because of past discussions but the '96-'98 Cobra cams make more power in the C heads than the stock C-head cams do, about 40 RWHP throughout the band.
BUT they have to be properly degreed first, then the intake cams advanced and the exhaust cams retarded.

NA B-heads are a losing proposition, the ports are just too big and lack the proper velocity to properly fill the cylinders without forced induction, plus only one intake valve sees fuel spray so the other valve gets all shitty from carbon & gunk, I posted pics on here like 10 years ago of the differences between the primary and secondary intake valves.
You'll need to wire up a window switch if you want to run the IMRCs. Personally I would delete them since they often fail and require frequent cleaning. People talk about loss of torque, this can be made up with gears or cam timing.

But if you throw those B-heads in the trash and run C-heads instead, you eliminate all of these problems. No IMRCs, no shitty low-velocity intake ports, no gummed-up secondary intake valves.

Fixed, not all were Windsor motors. But yes, even auto GTs with Windsor motors have 8-bolt cranks. Windsor motors also have pressed-on cam gears and different cam caps.
Maybe this would be a great revelation in a 2v differences thread, but this one is a Markviii 4v swap thread so maybe we should stick to that.

Right. If his car is an 02 he can re-use his clutch/fw/pp with a mark viii engine. I did know some of the 99-01s had the 8 bolt crank. IIRC the one I yanked out of my '00 was 8 bolt.

Ray I maybe interested in the stuff, the mark viiis are 6 bolt cranks, I'm working on all the little crap wrong with the car first, so it will be a nice 4 valve car rather than a rat lol, had the dent fixed and shaved the trunk, gonna rebuild the rear with 4.10s it needs shocks, get it nice then I'm going to start putting the 4 valve together, ray I'll have to stop and talk to you and check out your swap get some pointers lol
